The Interior Health authority declared an outbreak on Monday after the "rapid spread" of COVID-19 in Canim Lake, B.C.

In the US, almost 22.5 million cases and more than 375,000 deaths had been reported as of Monday, Johns Hopkins University data show.

More than 1,100 were in intensive care.

On Monday, Vancouver Coastal Health reported a new COVID-19 exposure at the Denny's restaurant at 622 South West Marine Drive between December 26 and January 5 during operating hours.

Henry noted that there was "no difference between the people who got (their second dose) at day 19 and those who got it at day 42".

Henry noted six new healthcare outbreaks have been reported in recent days, including at Avalon Gardens, The Gatehouse group home, the Guildford Seniors Village, Hart House long-term care, KinVillage West Court, and Suncreek Village. "The outbreaks at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Chartwell Langley Gardens, Lakeshore Care Centre, and Baillie House are over".

This is making a strategic enemy out of a local force that has been part of Yemen for generations. Iran's mission to the United Nations in NY did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

One of the fatalities was within Island Health, where 13 people have died. It prioritizes those who are at higher risk of severe illness or those who are at a higher risk of catching or spreading the virus, such as health-care workers.

Henry said that as of Sunday, just under 60,000 people in B.C. had received a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

As the province's vaccine program rolls out, almost 60,000 doses of vaccine have been administered by Sunday. The second dose in a two-dose series like this is to provide more durable and longer-lasting, for a longer period of time, immunity.

The updated tally from the Minnesota Department of Health means the state's providers have given first doses of the two-dose vaccine to almost a third of the initial priority group of 500,000 health care workers and residents of long-term care facilities.

Henry says the first dose primes the immune system while the second shot gives it a boost and waiting between jabs allows the body to build up that immunity.
