Saved By The Bell Vet Dustin Diamond Has Been Hospitalized

Sources from Diamond's team have told the publication that the star was hospitalised in Florida over the past weekend, after he was feeling pain all over his body and a "general sense of unease".

Dustin originated the role of Samuel "Screech" Powers on Good Morning, Miss Bliss, the 1988 Disney Channel sitcom that became Saved By The Bell.

According to a representative for Dustin Diamond in a statement to Us Weekly, the medical staff at the Florida hospital is "currently running tests" and that they are "hoping to get answers soon".

Speaking to EW, Diamond's team says "It's serious, but we don't know how serious yet".

Diamond is best known for playing Screech on Saved by the Bell and its follow-up shows from 1989 to 2000.

The actor was also part of the movie Saved By The Bell: Hawaiian Style in 1992 and the sequel Saved By The Bell: The College Years the following year.

It's more bad news for Diamond, who was not recast for the current reboot of Saved By the Bell a year ago.
