According to a recent rumor from Deadline, the answer seems to be.

In Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans' Steve Rogers aka Captain America didn't die, but he definitely went away after hopping through a time portal to go live out his life in secret with his WWII sweetheart Peggy Carter, only returning decades later (or minutes later, depending on your perspective) as an old man to handover his shield to Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson aka Falcon.

Would you folks like to see Evans back as a revitalized Captain America?

It's noted that Chris Evans returning as Captain America will be similar to how Robert Downey Jr. was used following Iron Man 3 - meaning no new Captain America movies - but Evans will appear in other MCU flicks, similar to RDJ appearing in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming. Although fans are still processing Evans' departure from the MCU, new reports are suggesting that Evans' days as Captain America may not actually be over yet.

Marvel had no comment, but if this deal is finalized and Evans does indeed return, it would mark a significant change from the original plan in the lead-up to Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

Rehearsal For Biden Inauguration Postponed Amid Security Threats
Biden's swearing-in ceremony takes place on the West Front of the Capitol from which he will deliver his inaugural address. He said, "Our posture is aggressive, and it's going to stay that way through the inauguration".

Evans, who is now working on other movies, said: "There are other things that I'm working on right now".

There are many possibilities for how Evans' character could be included in the Marvel universe again, especially when you take a look at options like Disney+.

Deadline offers that insiders have filled them in that Chris Evans is expected back as Steve Rogers and Captain America in some form.

What do I think?

He said: "I absolutely loved my time with Marvel; I already miss it, but there's no denying that it is very exciting to just have complete freedom to pursue whatever my creative appetite wants". What are we adding to the story?
