Hogwarts Legacy delayed into 2022

Avalanche Software is pushing its open-world action-RPG Hogwarts Legacy from 2021 to 2022.

The new Hogwarts Legacy release date will be sometime in 2022 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

"We would like the thank fans from around the world on the tremendous reaction from our announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label". The game was recently announced at a PlayStation 5 event after it had been rumoured for years since gameplay leaked.

Revealed on Twitter, the statement reads that in order to create the best possible experience and replication of the Wizarding World, the game will need more time. As the world saw when CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 was rushed to release to disastrous results, more development time is always a good thing, especially if means the people making the game don't have to endure harsh crunch. We'll have to wait till next year for our next adventure into Hogwarts and Hogsmeade.
