These chipsets succeed the Dimensity 1000 series and bring along significant improvements across the board.

MediaTek on Wednesday launched the Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100 5G processors. With this, the Dimensity 1200 creates a seamless 5G experience in all scenarios at all times, maintaining its 5G leadership in the process.

This flagship MediaTek chipset opts for a 1+3+4 CPU arrangement.

Coming back to Realme's upcoming smartphone likely to be summoned as Realme X9 Pro, the device will of course feature 5G connectivity. It is disappointing to see MediaTek reuse the same GPU in its next-gen flagship chipsets for 2021. And, you will be surprised to know that Dimensity 1200 and 1100 "support ray tracing in mobile games and artificial reality applications", as per the official blog post. Also, it is intriguing as to how Realme is in mode to eliminate using larger nodes, and instead, it will go for the 6nm and 5nm chipsets in the future flagship devices.

Another area where Dimensity 1200 tops Dimensity 1100 is the display driver. The chipsets also support new AI-enhanced video playback features including AI SDR-to-HDR. Phones with this chipset can include up to 32MP+16MP dual-cameras.

What Rockstar's New Patent Really Means For GTA
The described system would result in a more realistic and immersive traffic simulation. Rockstar has not confirmed anything officially about Grand Theft Auto 6 .

Both the chipsets support Bluetooth 5.2, which lets users stream to multiple wireless devices simultaneously.

Taiwan's MediaTek appears to be one of the first high-volume customers for the technology and is among a handful of companies with modem technology to connect phones to mobile data networks, competing against Qualcomm Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd. The four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores still operate at 2.0GHz though.

Dimensity 1100 sports four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2GHz. The Dimensity 1200 SoC also uses the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and supports UFS 3.1 storage and a maximum of 16GB of LPDDR4x memory. The camera and display capabilities of this chipset are different though. It offers a maximum resolution of 2520x1080 pixels with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz.

Realme has launched many "Firsts" in smartphone models equipped with the MediaTek's Helio series chipsets in the 4G era, with the first to launch Realme C3 equipped with Helio G70, Narzo 10 with Helio G80 and Realme 7 with Helio G95. Besides Realme, Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO are expected to be among the first smartphone manufacturers to release devices based on MediaTek's latest offerings.
