The final of the 13th edition of the IPL was played between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in which the latter came out as the victor, clinching their fifth IPL title.

According to PTI, the three-time winners made a decision to continue with Raina in order to bolster the batting order that struggled during a forgettable last season, which culminated in a seventh-place finish and a league-stage elimination for the first time since the tournament's inception in 2008. He too could not play last season due to personal reasons.

Harbhajan tweeted: "As my contract comes to an end with @ChennaiIPL, playing for this team was a great experience.handsome memories made &some great friends which I will remember fondly for years to come.Thank you @ChennaiIPL, management, staff and fans for a wonderful 2years".

Chargers hire Rams DC Staley as head coach
In his first season as a defensive coordinator in the NFL, Staley transformed the Rams into the No. 1 defense in football. With the Chargers , Staley replaces coach Anthony Lynn, who was sacked after four seasons and a 33-31 record.

"It's a team that is so close to my heart, which I've been lucky enough to play for over the years, and I'm excited about the challenge that lies ahead of me as the leader of the team", Samson was quoted as saying by the franchise.

Notably, Piyush Chawla was CSK's most expensive buy at Rs 6.75 crore in the 2019 player auction.

The veteran off-spinner had pulled out of the 13th edition of the IPL due to personal reasons, choosing not to travel to the United Arab Emirates.

Perhaps the most surprising name to be ditched was that of Smith as the former Australian captain has enjoyed a long, fruitful relationship with the Rajasthan Royals and led them in last year's tournament in the Middle East. He picked up 417 Test wickets and 269 ODI scalps. Jofra Archer was the top wicket-taker for the Royals in the 2020 edition with 20 wickets while Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes have also contributed in Rajasthan Royals' important wins in recent past.
