HBO Max recently added the episodes of Batman, the animated series to its catalog and after the reboot of Gossip Girl or that of Sex & The City, Warner still seems to be banking on nostalgia and old television classics, sincea Batman sequel, the animated series has been in development for a while.

Bernardin was the one to initiate the discussion by bringing up a rumor that HBO Max is looking to make a sequel to Batman: The Animated Series.

For many, Batman: The Animated Series was the biggest animated show of all-time with an entire generation growing up on the film noir-infused series; Given that the show only lasted for two seasons (consisting of 85 episodes), its ongoing influence is all the more impressive. Of course, casting Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker is already a no brainer. The beloved series also launched the DC Animated Universe (DCAU), a collection of animated films and TV shows focused on DC Comics heroes.

Bruce Timm and Paul Dini's animated series stood out for its aesthetic as handsome as it was dark, its much deeper treatment and respect for the characters, but also marked the history of Batman and DC Comics by creating Harley Quinn.

We all have different tastes, so the question of "What is the greatest animated series of all time?" will get a myriad of different answers.
