Stars pay tribute to TOWIE star Mick Norcross following his tragic death

Former The Only Way Is Essexstar and businessman Mick Norcross has been found dead aged 57.

The television personality previously spoke about how he tried to commit suicide during the height of his fame after a painful and televised split with his ex-fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh.

Prior to his death, Norcross - who is father to TOWIE's Kirk Norcross - shared a tragic final post on Twitter on 21st January that reads: "At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could".

Sharing his throwback photos with Mick, Mario wrote, "This one is very hard to accept".

'His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner'.

He sweetly captioned the snap: "Me and the big man", with a heart emoji.

'I had the honour of filming with him a lot on TOWIE and also to be good friends away from the show.

Essex Police said in a statement: "We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January". You never know what someone is going through. RIP Mick Many unbelievable memories, So Sad! Thoughts to his family, I'm truly very saddened, a good man'.

Norcross was introduced to Towie as the owner of the Sugar Hut nightclub in Brentwood, Essex, the site of numerous programme's famous arguments between cast members.

He said he was not "very close" to the 57-year-old, but added: "I just want to send my condolences and my love to the family and [his son] Kirk must be just broken-hearted, but what I did know of Mick, he was such a gentleman, such a nice guy".

A cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Meanwhile, tributes have poured in for the reality star.

'Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead.

Norcross featured in the second season of The Only Way Is Essex, affectionately known as TOWIE, in 2011 and went on to appear in 53 episodes in total.

Norcross' son Kirk also appeared in the show between 2011 and 2013. "And that is good enough".

Dozens of Mick's celebrity friends shared their heartache in the comment section of his haunting final tweet: 'At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could.
