Bridgerton fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Netflix announced a second season of the steamy Netflix show.

Based on the "Bridgerton" series of books by author Julia Quinn, the Netflix adaptation, in collaboration with Shondaland, has been a massive hit with viewers, raking in almost 63 million views, in fact.

The OTT platform has given its nod to a second season renewal of the period drama which has Shonda Rhimes as its executive producer.

As per the latest update, Lord Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, will "dominate the social season".

Season one of Bridgerton was all about the eldest Bridgerton daughter Daphne's (Phoebe Dynevor) journey to finding love and marriage, which all remarkably occurred with the same man, Simon Basset (Rege-Jean Paige.) According to Lady Whistledown herself, season two will change spotlights, with a focus primarily on the eldest Bridgerton son Anthony's own love story. The streaming giant made the announcement with a short clip, featuring scenes from the first season, that concluded with the caption "Second 2 is coming".
