Adele's '21' turns 10, singer calls album 'old friend'

The music superstar celebrated the 10-year anniversary of her groundbreaking album "21" over the weekend, reflecting on the project in a candid Instagram post.

The record topped the charts in over 30 countries, becoming the best-selling album of the year in 2011 and 2012.

But the singer's sophomore album "21", now the best selling of the 21st century, propelled her to true superstar heights with hit singles "Rolling in the Deep", the plaintive love song "Someone Like You" and "Set Fire to the Rain".

In the US, 21 was released February 22, 2011 and went on to earn RIAA-certified Diamond status for selling over 10 million copies in the country.

Adele fans are still waiting for her new music and according to one of her BFFs, it's still coming.

She also addressed her recent weight loss, saying "And I know I look really, really different since you last saw me but actually, because of all the Covid restrictions and the travel bans, I had to travel light and only bring half of me - and this is the half I chose".
