Nia Dennis's former UCLA gymnastics teammate Katelyn Ohashi also reached millions of likes with her own mashup of artists like Ike & Tina Turner, Earth, Wind & Fire, and a combination of the infamous Jackson family. The Guardian reported that Ohashi's mashup of 60s, 70s, and 80s music, alongside her incredible talent, earned her the ideal score of ten. Her routine celebrated Black excellence, featuring music from all Black artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Missy Elliott, Soulja Boy, Tupac Shakur, and Megan Thee Stallion.

The routine was almost ideal, scoring a 9.95 out of 10, in the Bruins' gymnastics meet win over Arizona State on Sunday In Dennis' routine, she paid homage to her father, Casey, who stepped in college. In fact, The Los Angeles Times reminds us she actually wanted to have a "dance party" past year.

Not only did UCLA open their college season in victorious fashion over the weekend, they also gained global attention for Dennis' magnificent floor routine.

"I wanted to have a dance party because that's my personality", she said during a post-meet press conference. The clip had over 40 million views in less than 24 hours.

On Saturday, January 23rd, UCLA gymnast Nia Dennis stole the show with her latest dance routine.

Dennis, a senior, led the Bruins to victory in their season-opener against Arizona State - 196.150 to 195.950 - and a video of her flawless moves went viral.
