Nobel Committee Must Give Kushner 'Fair' Consideration

In an interview on Newsmax TV's "John Bachman Now", Dershowitz said he put in Kushner's name for his work in helping to create the normalization deals between Israel and Arab nations known as the Abraham Accords - and slammed the nomination of the racial justice movement Black Lives Matter.

Kushner told Reuters he was honored to be nominated for the prize.

Twitter erupted at the announcement, with many predicting Kushner wouldn't come close to winning.

Stacey Abrams, a politician and voting rights advocate, has been reportedly nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, joining the growing list of nominees, according to multiple reports. "It's the 1st of February not April", another person commented.

According to Reuters, Mr Dershowitz wrote: "The Nobel Peace Prize is not for popularity".

Right-wing Norweigian politician Christian Tybring-Gjedde was behind naming Trump previous year for his role in the Israeli-Arab deals.

"And if they're fair, I think [Kushner and Berkowitz] will be given serious consideration for the Nobel Peace Prize". "Additionally, he signed several peace agreements in the Middle East which have helped provide stability in the region and peace". "How would Trump's ego manage that?" Nor is it an assessment of what the worldwide community may think of those who helped bring about peace.

In 2020, the World Food Programme won the prize "for its efforts to combat hunger, for its contribution to bettering conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas and for acting as a driving force in efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict".
