SpaceX Announces World’s First ‘All-Civilian’ Space Flight

The Demo-2 test flight for NASA's Commercial Crew Program was the first to deliver astronauts to the International Space Station and return them safely to Earth onboard a commercially built and operated spacecraft. Initially, NASA's Space Shuttle program ended last 2011, with its astronauts joining other space agencies' launch that is bound for the ISS.

Isaacman added that this mission, dubbed Inspiration4, with the "4" referencing the number of crew members, "is the realization of a lifelong dream and a step towards a future in which anyone can venture out and explore the stars". Anyone donating to St. Jude in February will be entered into a random drawing for seat No. 3. Three people will ride alongside Isaacman and orbit aboard SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule.

A US billionaire who made a fortune in tech and fighter jets is buying an entire SpaceX flight and plans to take three "everyday" people with him to circle the globe this year. The final seat will go to an "inspirational entrepreneur"-selected by a panel of judges-who has launched an online store with Shift4Shop".

The mission is going to be called the "Inspiration4". The flight itself will take off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and it'll then circle the globe for multiple orbits (approximately one every 90 minutes, the company says), while the spacecraft remains aloft for multiple days - SpaceX founder Elon Musk said that it's ultimately up to Jared, but that a range of two to four days is what the company suggests.

Nobel Committee Must Give Kushner 'Fair' Consideration
One person suggested that even being nominated for the award would have a negative impact for the Nobel organisation. Twitter erupted at the announcement, with many predicting Kushner wouldn't come close to winning.

It's hard to argue against the impact that SpaceX has had on space flight over the last several years, and it doesn't appear that will cease anytime soon.

That mission in early 2022 will be led by a former National Aeronautics and Space Administration astronaut, joined by three private astronauts. Either they just contribute to the fundraiser for St. Jude's lifesaving project or launch a Shift4 Payment company and show it on Twitter. After work, the capsule enters the atmosphere to land on the waterfront off the coast of Florida. NASA and SpaceX are also preparing for the Crew-3 mission, which is targeted for the fall of 2021, the United States space agency said. And unlike before when NASA used to have the ownership of the crew flight vehicles, this time it's in the hands of SpaceX. It is aiming to restore human spaceflight capability to the United States following the Space Shuttle Program's retirement in 2011, leaving America without the capacity for almost a decade.

Crew-1, SpaceX's first full-fledged crewed flight for NASA, launched in November and includes NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover and Shannon Walker and JAXA astronaut Soichi Noguchi.
