3 killed, 2 injured in Wisconsin tavern shooting

Authorities say they have apprehended a person in connection with a shooting at a busy tavern in southeastern Wisconsin early Sunday that left three men dead and three men injured.

The shooting happened at around 12:42 a.m.at the Somers House Tavern in Kenosha, where three people were pronounced dead at the scene.

"We believe our suspect knew who he was targeting", Beth said during a Sunday morning news conference. Authorities assert this was a "targeted and isolated incident". "I want to thank the first responders who reacted quickly and are still working to investigate and find those involved in this senseless tragedy".

The two people who were shot and wounded were taken to area hospitals.

It is not clear exactly why that person was removed, or whether there was one or more shooters, the sheriff said.

The actions would represent the second major round of sanctions imposed by the Biden administration against Russian Federation . The breach exposed vulnerabilities in the supply chain as well as weaknesses in the federal government's own cyber defenses.

Kenosha is about 30 miles (50 kilometers) south of Milwaukee, not far from the Wisconsin-Illinois border.

"I know that there was a confrontation obviously inside the building and I believe just outside the building there was another confrontation with gunfire".

Wright called it a complex investigation that involves several crime scenes. Kyle Rittenhouse of Antioch is charged with homicide and attempted homicide in the August 25 shootings.
