Two killed and another wounded at a Wisconsin casino shooting

Very few details are known concerning the shooter of the number of those injured.

The seriously wounded victim was airlifted to a Milwaukee hospital, Pawlak said.

Authorities responded to the Oneida Casino after receiving reports of an active shooter Saturday evening.

Webster said the casino is connected to a large hotel and conference centre, the Radisson, also owned by the Oneida Nation.

The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation is investigating the officer involvement portion of incident.

Brown County Sheriff's Lt Kevin Pawlak said investigators believe the gunman was seeking a specific person.

The guidance discourages close-contact and indoor sports, noting the increased risk of spreading COVID-19 in those situations. The updated guidance also emphasizes that camp activities should take place outside as much as possible.

"The situation is under control and the community is in no further danger", said Oneida Nation Vice Chairman Brandon Stevens on social media.

"It appears to be a targeted event, not a random shooting".

The suspect was sacked from the restaurant earlier this year and was forbidden from entering the property, Delain said.

"Updates will be forthcoming as Oneida and surrounding law enforcement and emergency agencies are at the scene".

Radisson Hotel Group Americas said in a statement, "We are working closely with the leadership, operations and security teams at the hotel as well as with members of the Oneida Nation to provide support. Our hearts are broken for the families of the victims and this community and we are doing everything we can to support them during this hard time".

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers tweeted: "Kathy and I were devastated to hear about the shooting at the Oneida Casino complex tonight".
