The CDC updated their mask wearing rules today that is part of the Conditional Sail Order on cruises.

The new indoor masking guidance follows a CDC announcement two weeks ago that fully vaccinated people do not need to wear a mask when they're outdoors unless they're in a crowd, such as attending a live performance, sporting event or parade.

"You should still mask and you should get vaccinated right away", Walensky advised those who haven't been vaccinated.

The Order permits temporarily removing a mask for brief periods of time while eating or drinking, removal of the mask for extended meal service or beverage consumption would constitute a violation of this Order for unvaccinated guests. Earlier this month, the CDC also announced that vaccinated people could ditch their masks outdoors so long as they're not in crowds.

'I always considered the CDC to be the gold standard.

Walensky said the CDC has to make sure the vaccines are working to stop asymptomatic transmission, which is largely believed to be the case, and watch for the vaccines' efficacy against emerging variants, particularly the variants initially discovered in the U.K., South Africa, Brazil and recently, India.

They hadn't and in choosing Dr Paul Williams, who backed Remain, they were perceived to be ignoring the views of the majority. Steve Reed, shadow communities secretary and a Starmer loyalist, said: "This was a shattering result for Labour".

Collins, who was reelected to her fifth term in November, told Walensky that she "used to have the utmost respect for the guidance from the CDC" but now feels it has issued "conflicting, confusing guidance" that contradicts health officials.

"I have been completely forthcoming with respect to the science, with respect to our guidance, with respect to our numbers, with respect to our cases".

'So, here we have unnecessary barriers to reopening schools, exaggerating the risks of outdoor transmission, and unworkable restrictions on summer camps. "It matters because it undermines public confidence in your recommendations".

The updated guidance is expected to still recommend that fully vaccinated Americans wear masks in certain crowded settings, like airplanes (pictured, file) and buses.

"Good point", Biden responded. 'Some people asked, why so close?' she quipped. He wants his life back, ' she said. "I feel people giving you the side eye".
