The new government guidance that fully vaccinated Americans can return to life without masks marked a turning point for the nation's reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic, but it also sparked many questions, including from parents.

But just because the CDC says that it is safe, does not mean that everyone in New Jersey feels comfortable taking off their masks - even if they are fully vaccinated. "I believe that high school kids, adolescents certainly will be able to be vaccinated by the time we get to the fall year, but I think it's going to take till the end of the calendar year to get elementary school kids vaccinated", Fauci said.

"Further, we must remember, that we still have Ohioans who are not eligible to be vaccinated, including those younger than 12 years-of-age".

"Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including business and workplace guidance", according to "Vaccines are effective at protecting you from getting sick".

It's also worth noting the guidance isn't necessarily permanent.
