Hailey Morinico, 17, was captured on video rushing to save her family's four pet dogs as a mother bear with two cubs in tow sat on a wall in the back yard of her Bradbury home, swatting at the pets as they barked. I just pushed her enough to make her lose her balance, so she dropped my dog and I ran out of there.

As the teen and her pets enter the house, the brown bear can be seen trying to climb the wall again, next to a tree at the back of the garden.

Talking to KTLA, the teenager said when she initially heard her dogs barking, she thought they were barking at other dogs. "She's a baby", Morinico said. Several cubs also appear to be with the larger animal, suggesting that it's a mother bear.

In the video, which has now been viewed over 50 million times, the dogs are seen scurrying around the outside of Hailey's home.

Hailey Morinico and her mother were gardening in their backyard in Bradbury, Calif., on Monday afternoon when a bear and her cubs began walking atop a cinder block wall at one end of the garden. "Do not push bears".

The video is a surveillance footage and it filmed on Memorial Day, the incident took place in US California.

A 17-year-old saved their dogs from a bear, by running over to it and pushing it off a fence.

"So, I go over to the bear, and I look it in the eyes", she says. The bear was about to step into her backyard and there was a possibility that this could mean danger for her family dogs, who were barking to raise alarm as it tried to intrude on the property.

"By the time I get there, the bear is literally picking up one of my dogs", Hailey said, showing a picture of Valentina, the "baby" dog who was picked up by the bear.

Hailey said: "Honestly, I did not know it was a bear until right after I pushed it". To be honest, I don't think I pushed her that hard.

Hailey suffered a sprained finger and scraped knee as a result of her bear encounter.
